The staff are friendly efficient and really care about the guests. The units are brand-new, top-notch with a smart TV in lounge area which allowed the kids to connect very easily to watch Netflix and 1 king size bed.

We didn't have time, so stayed here only for 7 nights, even so everything was excellent. The staff was top-class and efficient, offered excellent services. The standard king room was brand-new with a balcony, so that guests had essentials. It had a stunning location - near The Point Mall.

This was my 3rd visit to Cape Town and previously had stayed at the Capetonian and Ritz but the Protea President was a class above. The room was very spacious and comfortable and the facilities were what I and my family expected. Staff were very courteous and helpful. The buffet breakfast was good but I think that the food served needs to be changed from time to time. During the 15 days we stayed it was the same food served every day during breakfast. The hotel must also cater for those who don't eat beef and pork. The service at the bar was very satisfactory. Unfortunately we could not enjoy the pool as the water was very cold. Overall we enjoyed our stay at the President and definitely we'll recommend the Protea chain of hotels to our friends and hopefully my family will choose another Protea hotel for our next holidays.
Ther is very little to complain about. We were treated very well and the very few things we did'nt appreciate makes no difference to our whole appreciation of the quality service we wre offered.

Very comfortable, convenient for shopping and touring and friendly staff. The environment makes one feel of really being on holiday. The best was that the check out time was 11am, fantastic

The position of the hotel is excellent being close to both city and beaches. The staff are very friendly and attentive. The mid-priced room had plenty of space and also includes an element of self-catering facility such as micro-wave and fridge which were both useful during our stay.

Reception staff was very friendly. Our room was very neat and tidy and looked very modern. Breakfast was also very nice
The travel desk operator, Guus, was extremely rude and abrupt. She gave the impression that because we are South Africans and not foreigners that she was not interested in helping us. Breakfast staff could be more attentive when offering coffee and clearing dirty plates etc.

The sea view room was lovely, but the pool area was overcrowded and chaotic.

I have stayed the second time and would prefer to be here as it neither has the bustle of a business hotel nor is it too far away from business centers. The service is good and staff is cordial. One has the choice of rooms overlooking the Lions Head mountain or the ocean at Bantry bay.
Vegetarians suffer it out with very little choice. Charging parking fee from hotel guests is obnoxious. The rate at which I got this accomodation, I would have preferred to stay at the Westin Grand near the conference venue.
